I found a nice little surprise the other day. Apparently the same thing I’ve been using as an all puprpose all natural soap can work wonders on acne. Working at a pizza place I make and I eat alot of pizza, normally my face doesn’t suffer from it. However a combination of greasy pizza with back to back visits to the movies (Benjammin Button, and Slumdog Millionaire are great by the way, if you haven’t seen them I suggest you make it a date) with greasy popcorn being shoved in my face had not done very well for the area around my mouth. I had heard that Apple Cider Vinegar could do some good things regarding acne, so I sprayed it on a napkin and dabbed it to my two zits. One of them was gone in literally 4 hours! The other had dramatically decreased in size. I called my friend who has had acne problems his entire life and still suffers from acne today and told him I had a nice treat for him. Hopefully this will help put an end to the suffering and end to the countless number of creams and ointment that are supposed to cure it.

So the results with using my All Natural Soap spray has been somewhat erratic. Sometimes it would be a little greasy for my liking, and other times it would be absolutely perfect. So I’ve been doing some experiments with how I apply it compared to my results. This is what I have found.

On the days that I would spray 3-5 full sprays in my hair and would rinse thoroughly for about 30 seconds my hair would be too greasy for my liking, and I imagine others’ liking. I then decided to take some showers with 3-5 full sprays and would rinse thoroughly for about a minute, this was a little better but still not to my liking.

Then I decided to try much less, I tried 2-3 half sprays and thorough rinsing for about 45 seconds and have gotten amazing results! The dandruff I have had all throughout childhood is mostly gone, an awesome side effect, and enough reason for me to use this stuff for the rest of my life.

To sum it all up “I’ve been putting WAY to much in my hair, I’ve maybe done 3-5 full sprays in my hair, when the proper amount is 2-3 half sprays.”

My hair’s feeling great thanks to my All Natural Soap Spray and hopefully yours will too!

So I’ve been trying the vinegar challenge for a few weeks now. So far so good, some good All Natural Soap. My concoction consists of mostly vinegar, and a little bit of olive oil. I found that my skin was getting incredibly soft and smooth, but at the same try quite dry. I thought that maybe I was overdoing it with my spray so I set up a little experiment.

I decided one morning that I would spray ALOT onto my left arm and hardly any onto my right arm and compare the feelings in the two. I figured that my left arm would be extremely dry, and that my right arm would be less dry. The results shocked me quite a bit. My right arm was irritatingly dry and my left arm felt absolutely wonderful, this lead me to do some more experimentation. It turns out that it wasn’t the amount of product that I was putting on but rather the order I was putting the All Natural Soap on. When my arm would get wet with water and then have the product lathered on, the result would be dryness, but when the product was lathered on and then rinsed off the result would be absolutely incredible.

I’ve noticed that mixing in olive oil has had good results in a confusing way. Here’s what I mean by that: As I used more and more of my product I realized that I was using primarily more vinegar as opposed to olive oil. I put the olive oil in the bottle and at the beginning of my challenge I realized that while the amount of vinegar was decreasing dramatically the amount of olive oil contained wasn’t. I have just recently got to the point where there is only double the amount of vinegar compared to olive oil. My results have been getting better and better. I think that my next concoction of All Natural Soap will have more olive oil than vinegar, or at the very least much more olive oil.

I found something interesting while browsing the web a while back. Apparently a community consisting of “players” is jumping ship on commercial soap and swimming towards alternative homebrew methods of all natural soap. The reason I finds this especially intriguing is that being players these guys are very serious about their looks, hygiene, grooming, etc.

The original post can be found here.(note content on page may be found offensive)

A forum authority by the name of *****driven (PD), made a post about how he had switched from soaps to vinegar. The first step to acquiring effective hygiene PD claims is to realize that soap is ultimately the enemy.

“You must also realize that soap is at the root of your problem. Soap has a pH value of far above 7 making it nearly poisonous (or at least harmful) for your skin, hair and nails. Soap makes your skin more acceptable(?) for virus (warts and more), fungi (rashes, ringworm and more) and bacteria (infections, acne and smell).”

So when one cuts out all of their soap what are they supposed to wash with? Vinegar. PD gives us his vinegar plan.

The vinegar plan In the beginning I would do this daily but it’s so effective that I only found it nescesary twice a week. The rest of the time I wash with clean water - nothing else. I still use a bar of soap (or liquid soap) for hands (mostly because it looks kinda gross not to have a bar of soap at the toilet sink) but no other soap products.

1. Get a large plastic bowl. 2. A washcloth and/or a nailbrush 3. A solution of 2-4% vinegar (appr. 3:1 for cooking vinegar and 10:1 for cleaning acid) Caution: I sometimes use a stronger solution if I have a specific trouble spot like rough heels or elbows (up to 10-12%), acne on back (8-10%), smelly feet(8-10%) or fungi attack somewhere (5-8%). You will sometimes feel a burning sensation around nails, anus and penis head, but if you’re below 4% it’s perfectly safe. Watch the eyes, though. 4. Clean yourself everywhere ending by pouring the remaining vinegar water over hair. Careful with eyes. 5. Let it sit for a few seconds. 6. Rinse well with water. Rinse hair especially well. After leaving the shower you will still have a faint smell from the vinegar. It will evaporate in a few minutes.”

By simply using gentle acids they have made their own homebrew all natural soap, what I like about their method is that it doesn’t involve any dangerous chemical mixing, no acids or bases, or lye. By sticking with a liquid they can skip the nonessential step of making an actual bar, this is safer, easier, faster, and cheaper.

Several other members responded with nothing but positive results when it comes to the vinegar method. Some had claimed to have been using the method for some time.

Another member wrote the following stating that the simple solution had acted as a mild antidote for his eczema.

“I thought I just had terrible looking irritated skin. Vinegar cleared that up. It also cleared up some eczema that I had had bothering the shit out of me for two years. Whenever it tries to come back I rub some on full strength. It stings a little, but then leaves me alone for weeks.

Thanks a million for posting about this, and for everyone who doubts, at least try it before you say it’s totally useless.”

Another message board authority “ijjjji” chimed in the mention that the vinegar solution prevents and removes wrinkles if the mixture is strong enough. He then calls the community to action by asking them to join his WAR ON SOAP!!!

Typically it is not men who are interested in grooming, hygiene, and bath products, but these guys may be on to something when it comes to scrapping the expensive soaps and conditioners and making their own all natural soap.
